“Welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, well. To what do I owe the extreme pleasure of this surprising visit?” is definitely one of my favourite quotes from Clockwork Orange. And as I watched this classic film of movie history for the probably 100th time, for some reason I thought about my kitchen clock and that I need a new one. While researching the internet for a cool clock DIY, I found an old Cans for Life blog article about the cool things you can do with crown corks. So, why not create a clock with these little metal artworks, I thought. Only one day later, I was ready to become a watchmaker. And of course I’m sharing this experience with you:

What You Need for the Clock:

  • 12 Crown Corks
  • A Clockwork
  • Glue
  • Drill
  • Wooden plate

How You Do it:

  1. Collect your favourite crown corks.
  2. Drill a hole into the wooden plate to install the clockwork.
  3. Glue the crown corks onto the plate where the clock numbers usually are.
  4. Put your clock on the wall or use it as a hall clock.

Pretty easy, isn’t it? You can create so many different styles! Just use the crown corks of your favourite drinks, or your favourite brand. Why don’t you combine our Nuka Cola Caps DIY with this and make yourself a Nuka Cola Clock?! Okay, well … I should’ve definitely thought about this one earlier. Time to make another clock.
